About Sid

Sid — a fun-loving, caring, kind, and humble soul, with a zest for life and an ability to find joy in the simplest of things.

Living in the moment came naturally to him. He found happiness in the little things, in laughter, in friendships, in helping others, and in all the experiences that made life worth embracing. Movies, sports, and reading were among the many things he enjoyed, but it was perhaps his way of experiencing life—with curiosity, warmth, and an open heart—that defined him most.

To me, Sid was much more than a son.

He was a supporter when I needed strength, a confidante when I needed someone to listen, and a cheerleader who believed in me even when I struggled to believe in myself. He was someone with whom I could share my thoughts, my worries, my laughter and the ordinary moments of everyday life.

Our relationship held a beautiful ease—a bond that went beyond the words mother and son. There was friendship, trust, understanding and a quiet comfort in knowing that we were there for each other.

There are people whose presence becomes a part of who we are. Sid is one of them.

His love, his kindness, his laughter and the little lessons woven into our everyday moments continue to find their way into my life—in memories, in familiar things, in unexpected moments of joy, and in the quiet spaces where love has no need for words.

This space is my unbroken thread with Sid—the continuation of a love that does not end with physical absence.

It is the thread that connects yesterday, today and all the days still to come. Woven through memories and moments, through love and longing, through the little signs that make me pause and smile, and through the quiet conversations I still have with him in my heart.

In many ways, Sid continues to be my supporter, my confidante, and my cheerleader. The relationship has not disappeared; it has simply changed its form. The conversations may be different, and the ways of seeking his support are unconventional, but the connection remains.

This is a space to explore that place between what was and what is—the continuing journey of love, grief, meaning, and learning to live while carrying someone so deeply within.

Because some threads, once woven through the heart, cannot be broken.

They stretch.
They change.
They sometimes become difficult to see.

But they remain.

And this is mine with Sid.
